Public Works Maintenance Laborer, Full-time Position
Scheduled days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 40 hours per week. This position is for full-time employment. Position frequently requires long hours and weekend work. Laborer is responsible for repairing broken and eroding pavement on Borough streets, maintenance of the park system, storm sewer system and building maintenance. Position involves lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods of time, and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employee will be expected to lift, push, pull or carry objects; use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
Requirements
High school diploma. CDL license preferred, but not required. Applicants need to be physically capable of strenuous work, and be able to understand and follow safety precautions. The position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
Salary – EOE
$18.00 – $22.00/hour DOE.
