Doylestown Historical Society will present a talk on Forest Park by John Malack on Thursday, September 22, 7:00 pm in the Doylestown Historical Society Barn, 56 S. Main Street, Doylestown.
Forest Park was an amusement park located on over 140 acres in Chalfont. It closed in 1968 after over 80 years of operation. The park was a major attraction in the area featuring rides, a swimming pool, string bands and other events. It was a popular venue for company picnics having hosted thousands of employees of the Budd Company. John Malack is the founder and chairman of the ‘Friends of Forest Park’ organization having served in that capacity for over 30 years. He has many photos and memorabilia from the park.
