The Central Bucks Regional Police Department in conjunction with the County of Bucks participates in the Medication Collection Program. Bring your unwanted prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) drugs to the year-round permanent drop-box located in the lobby of the Chalfont Borough Administration Building, 40 N. Main St., and your medications will be disposed of safely.
ITEMS ACCEPTED: prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications, tablets, capsules, patches, nasal sprays, vitamins, inhalers, and pet medications. NO LOOSE PILLS PLEASE. Keep pills in their bottles and any loose pills should be placed in a Ziploc bag before disposal.
NOT ACCEPTED: injectables, needles, illicit substances, creams, ointments and lotions, hydrogen peroxide, thermometers, needles/sharps/syringes, and any aerosol cans.
Please Note: Expired/unused Epi-pens will ONLY be accepted if the needle has not been discharged and is still in its original protected & unexposed position with the needle safety cap still in place. This requirement is necessary to help ensure the safety of the person emptying the drop-box or handling its contents. DO NOT put any exposed Epi-pen needles or any other needles, sharps or syringes into the drop-box.
Office hours for drop-box access in the Borough administration office are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (closed on holidays). Feel free to call 215-822-7295 before stopping by to make sure the office is open.
