By Ordinance, Chalfont Borough has a single waste and recycling hauler for all residents. The purpose of this requirement is to reduce the number of large trash trucks going traveling the borough streets, and the number of days a week that trash is placed curbside. Because of their special needs, businesses are exempt from this requirment, however, small businesses may opt in to the contract at residental pricing.
Chalfont Borough's new waste and recycling hauler is ChesMont Disposal. The new contract is effective through June of 2012. (Please note that Lindenfield Townhome and Condo Associations, and Pine Creek Condos contract with a private waste hauler. The following resident waste collection information is not applicable. However, the cardboard dumpster at Borough Hall is available to all residents.)
Chalfont Borough is pleased to announce the inclusion of the RecycleBank Program in our new contract. You have received information in the mail directly form RecycleBank. In addition, ChesMont Disposal has provided a container to recycle corregated and non-corregated cardboard for our residents. The container, clearly marked "Cardboard ONLY" is located behind Borough Hall at 40 N. Main Street. Please bring your cardboard to the dumpster for recycling.
Information is also available on this website for Household Hazardous Waste recycling. Please check the Events section for this year's schedule.
