| Keystone Municipal Services | Code Enforcement / Zoning Officer | (215) 822-7295 |
Our Building and Zoning Department is manned by Keystone Municipal Services. The building inspector, Randy Yardumian, is on duty Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For almost any type of construction or remodeling in the Borough, a Building or Zoning Permit is required. If your property is located in the Historic District, special rules apply. Please see the Historic Design Guidelines in the Historic Chalfont section under Information.
Before starting any work, please check with our office for full details of what is required for the project. The staff is more than happy to help anyone through the application process and to ensure that the work is done properly. Through a process of plan review and a schedule of inspections, the Code Enforcement/Zoning office makes sure that all of the building specifications and materials used are up to code and, therefore, safe for the occupants. Also through this process, insurance and zoning requirements are dealt with. This application process is relatively simple. For your benefit, please comply with this process.
You can review the Chalfont Borough Codified Zoning Ordinance by request at the Borough Office. A copy is also available for purchase for $35.00 cash or check. If requesting a copy by mail, please include $5.00 for shipping and handling.
