The following work is being done on the sidewalks along Butler Avenue:
Week of December 7: restoration, topsoil and seeding, storm sewer
Week of December 14: storm sewer, bituminous restoration in front of new curb
Work will cease operations on or about December 17. Operations will resume, depending on the weather, during the week of January 4, 2016.
The Chalfont Borough Safe Routes to School sidewalk installation is well underway. There may be slight traffic delays between the hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm. Chalfont Borough will continue to do its best to post possible traffic delays, lane closures, or disruptions to allow travelers to plan to use an alternate route. The schedule for the next two weeks are as follows:
Week of November 2: West Side of Butler Ave.
- Install Concrete Sidewalk
- Install Topsoil and Grade adjacent to new Sidewalk
Week of November 9: East Side of Butler Ave.
- Excavate for & Install PCC Curb
- Bituminous Restoration in front of new Curb
There will be a dumpster delivered behind Borough Hall, 40 North Main Street, on Monday November 9th. This 30 yard dumpster is for residents to use for yard waste disposal and will be available until filled. Examples of yard waste are: grass clippings, brush or branches not to exceed 4 feet in length.
No dirt or rocks please.
