Many household products contain chemicals that cause contamination to the environment if disposed of improperly. The Bucks County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program provides the opportunity for residents to get rid of unwanted hazardous chemicals, such as oil-based paints, pesticides, herbicides, caustic cleaners, pool chemicals, mercury, and automotive and rechargeable batteries, by offering a safe and easy disposal solution.
Residents can drive to any of the collection sites listed, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, rain or shine, and their household hazardous waste will be removed from their vehicles and sorted for safe disposal.
No electronics (TVs, computers, or other electronic devices) will be collected this year, due to the effects of a Pennsylvania law, the Covered Devices Recycling Act.
The Council Agenda and Packet for 4/12/2016 has been posted.
The Chalfont Borough Streets Committee will be meeting on April 26th at 7 pm at Borough Hall to review the result of the Parking Survey regarding Ordinance 308 A Section 402 addressing overnight parking. This is the first step in reviewing our ordinance and considering any potential changes to the ordinance. The public is welcome.
The Chalfont Borough Streets Committee wants your opinion on Ordinance 308A section 402 regarding parking between the hours of 1:00am and 6:00am on borough streets. Parking is currently restricted on all borough streets during those times. Please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cbparking to fill out the survey online. If you don’t have access to the internet, please call the Borough or stop by and we can collect your answers for you. Participation in this survey will allow your voice to be heard. There are only 4 questions so it should take less than 1 minute of your time. Thank you for your input regarding this matter!
