Chalfont Borough also has a “Do Not Knock” list provided to permitted solicitors.  This listing is for Chalfont Borough residents only (i.e. you may have a Chalfont mailing address but actually reside in Doylestown Township, Hilltown Township, New Britain Township, or Warrington Township).  Borough residents can click here to be included on the “Do Not Knock” list.

Chalfont 5K Challenge is 6/2/2018!

The Chalfont Borough 5k is this Saturday.  The Fun Run is at 8am and the 5k at 8:30am.  Registration is available during business hours at Borough Hall and on race day beginning at 7am.   Click here for a Map of the Road Closures.

If you live along the race route and need to leave in the morning, please make arrangements to park your car outside of the race route so that you can get to where you need to be.  We understand that this is an inconvenience, but it is necessary.  This race makes a huge difference in the funding of our parks and trails.

Bristol Road Extension Project

PennDOT to Host Open House Meeting for Bristol Road Extension Project in Bucks County 

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open house project update meeting on Tuesday, June 5, at 7:00 PM in the Unami Middle School Cafeteria at 160 Moyer Road in Chalfont Borough, for the upcoming Bristol Road Extension Project in Chalfont and New Britain boroughs and New Britain Township, Bucks County. 

The project involves constructing a two-lane extension of Bristol Road from Butler Avenue to Park Avenue to improve traffic flow in the Chalfont area. 

The purpose of the meeting is to present the public with progress plans and a status update on the project. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT’s design team.  

Construction bids on this project are expected to be opened in late 2022.

ZONING HEARING BOARD – PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given to all parties in interest that the Chalfont Borough Zoning Hearing Board will hold a Public Hearing in the Borough Hall located at 40 North Main Street, Chalfont, PA on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

This Hearing is scheduled to re-consider the application from Livia Real Estate, LLC requesting the following relief from the Chalfont Borough Zoning Ordinance:

  1. A Variance from Part 4, Section 407.2.E(1)(b), to permit a minimum lot area of 15,825 sf for 8 units in lieu of the required 20,000 sf.
  2. A Variance from Part 4, Section 407.2.E(1)(g), to permit 15’-0” spacing between buildings in lieu of the required 30’-0” minimum.
  3. A Variance from Part 7, Section 707.H, to permit a total of 8 dwelling units on the property. The Hearing is being re-opened to consider additional revised information and evidence from the applicant.The subject property is located at 204 North Main Street, more specifically identified as Bucks County Tax Map Parcel Number 07-006-013, and is within the R2 – Village Residential Zoning District.

Chalfont 5k Challenge on June 2, 2018

Group Rate registration now available for our Chalfont Challenge 5k on June 2nd! Register your group of 5 or more runners and each runner will only pay $20 to register. You have to register by May 25th to qualify for this special group rate. Please have your group fill out one group registration form, and then each runner needs to fill out their own registration form. Help us fill the race course with Runners, create a group at your work, gym, neighborhood, or more!
