Stop Overdoses Week

Naloxone Day Flyer

December 10th-14th has been designated as Stop Overdoses in PA week, a state-wide initiative to give the overdose-reversal medication naloxone to Pennsylvanians for free and get help for residents suffering from the disease of opioid-use disorder.  As part of this, Bucks County will be distributing free naloxone at three sites throughout the county on Thursday, December 13th.  Please see the attached flyer for additional information and share this event with anyone you know who would benefit from obtaining this medication.  For anyone residing outside of Bucks County, please let them know that naloxone distribution events will be held throughout PA during this designated week and they should check with their county health department or county drug and alcohol commission for specific dates and details.


Commission Openings

Planning Commission Opening:   Currently there is an open position on the Chalfont Borough Planning Commission.  Anyone interested in serving their community on this commission is welcome to complete a volunteer form to apply.

The Planning Commission consists of five members, headed by a chairman, and their duties include the review of all land use and construction plans. Our Commission works with the Bucks County Planning Commission to develop uniformity between the Borough and the County. Recommendations by the Planning Commission are then forwarded to Borough Council for review and action. Members are appointed to a four-year term. Filling the open term will end on 12/31/2022 and at that time the person can ask to be appointed to another 4-year term. Chalfont Borough Planning Commission meets as needed on the 1st Monday of the month at 7:00pm.

Civil Service Commission:  The Police Civil Service Commission provides for police officer employment, testing, certifications, and disciplinary actions. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis.  Commission members must be a qualified elector of Chalfont Borough. Elected officials are not permitted to serve on the Commission. All Commission members serve in a voluntary capacity.

Toys for Tots: Fill the Cruiser!

Saturday, November 17th from 10am – noon, CBRPD Officers will be stationed in the police parking lot at 57 West Court Street in Doylestown to help collect Toys for Tots!

Brighten the holiday for local children in need. Bring an unwrapped, unopened, non-violent toy for either boys or girls ages newborn-14 and help us fill the police cruiser!  We invite you to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, cookies and conversation with an Officer!  Please join us and spread the word for this worthy cause!
