King of Prussia, PA – Bristol Road motorists will encounter lane restrictions and a closure starting next week between Upper State Road and Green Valley Way in New Britain Township, Bucks County, for a local trail project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6, lane restrictions are scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; and
  • Monday, March 16, through Monday, March 30, a 24/7 road closure is scheduled. During construction, motorists will be directed to use Butler Avenue, Tamenend Avenue, Almshouse Road, Lower State Road, and U.S. 202 South.

The local municipal project consists of trail installation, ADA ramp construction, several traffic signal modifications, bridge improvements, signage, pavement markings and landscaping.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the construction area because backups and slowdowns will occur. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
