Governing Organization
The Mayor and Borough Council of Chalfont are officials elected from the general population of the Borough.
Borough Council is the governing body of the Borough and the Mayor administers the Police force.
Borough Council appoints members to the Planning Commission and the Historic and Architectural Review Board (HARB).
The Borough Manager/Treasurer is the chief administrative official of the Borough and has a staff including the Financial Coordinator, Secretary/Assistant to the Manager, Tax Collector and Receptionist. The Manager also administers the Public Works Department, the Zoning Department, and the Borough Engineer.
Volunteer
Members of the Chalfont Borough Planning Commission and the Historical Architectural Review Board are civic minded volunteers from the community, appointed by Council after an intereview process when an opening arises. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these Boards, please fill out an application form online or at the Borough Office. All applications are kept on file.
