Residents please clear your sidewalks ASAP. We understand this was a significant snow fall, that does not excuse us of our responsibility to clear sidewalks. If you have a sidewalk in front of your home it is your responsibility to clear it within 12 hours of the final snowflake per ordinance 299-A. This is a friendly reminder message, but if the sidewalks are not cleared enforcement will occur. Chalfont Borough Winter Storm Emergency Declaration
A Winter Storm Emergency Declaration has been issued for Chalfont Borough
Effective, Friday, January 22, 2016 from 7:00pm.
All persons are required to remove their parked vehicles from public streets. Chalfont Borough Police have the authority to ticket and/or tow vehicles in violation of this winter storm emergency declaration.
Residents and businesses are urged to shovel the snow accumulation from around fire hydrants and from around sidewalks. No person may deposit snow in the public streets. Deposit snow away from the streets to protect everyone’s safety.
Due to forecasted blizzard conditions, SEPTA will suspend service on all Regional Rail Lines, bus and trolley routes and the Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) beginning at 4:00 AM on Saturday, January 23. The Market-Frankford and Broad Street Lines will continue operating during the storm.
SEPTA’s Customized Community Transportation (CCT) will operate limited service on Saturday and Sunday, providing only eligible customer trips for dialysis. Delays are anticipated.
All service-related updates and advisories will be posted at www.septa.org, on the @SEPTA Twitter account and shared with local media outlets. The SEPTA Customer Service Call Center will open at 7:00 AM on January 23, and will be staffed with extra personnel. Customers can call (215) 580-7800 to speak to SEPTA representatives.
